| 6-1/2" Ceiling Speaker Bracket |
This is a must for audio installers! This pre-construction bracket for a 6 1/2" ceiling speaker is designed to make speaker installation quick, clean and easy after drywall has been installed. The metal bracket has clips for installation of our UL listed enclosure (sold below) that twists and snaps into place on the bracket. This stops insulation from entering into the speaker and protects it when mounted in the attic. Metal lip allows for quick zip tool drywall installation. Speaker hole edge flares out forcing the drywall installer to cut the hole instead of mounting over the bracket. Saves valuable time from finding the speaker wire and cutting a hole after someone has drywalled over the bracket. Makes a clean speaker install because you won't create a mess cutting a hole in the drywall after the carpet and countertops have been installed. Fits most standard 6 1/2" ceiling speakers, opening is 7 5/8" diameter. Each bracket uses 1 set of 4 mounting rails that can be adjusted to fit between floor joists 16" on center or 24" on center for attic mounts. Must be used with adjustable rails (16" on center floor joists) or (24" on center rafters) sold separately below.
