Rough-in kits are designed to be used to insure that the ceiling material is cut to the correct size and in the proper location for your in-ceiling speakers. For use with Mitek's 6.5-inch Ceiling 2-Way Speakers, 6.5-inch Ceiling Speakers with tweeter control or a single 6.5-inch Dual-Voice Coil Ceiling Speaker, these rough-in frames are available for use in new-construction homes. The Rough-In Kit for 6.5-inch In-Ceiling Speakers can be put in place prior to the ceiling's installation. Each bracket is quickly and easily assembled between ceiling joists. A pair of rough-in frames is included in this kit; speakers are sold separately. The Rough-In Kits can be nailed, screwed or stapled to the ceiling joists. They will span 16-inch and 24-inch studs on and off center. Each bracket includes a small tooled-in loop for securing the speaker wire during the pre-wire process.
